Sounds like the Denver/KC NFL game where Denver is up by 1 and KC lets them score with 3 minutes on the clock. Did Houston just let Wiggins go in for the easy score so they could get the ball back in time to drain the 3?

This was even worse.

First the Wolves were up 4 with the ball with around 40 seconds left and could have held onto the ball and shot it with less then 20 seconds left which makes it very difficult for the Rockets to come back with the shot clock off. Instead they turn it over with around 40 seconds left trying to make a play early in the shot clock for no reason.

Then Wiggins literally has the ball with less than 10 seconds left and could have held onto it and gotten fouled. Would have had two free throws with a 3 point lead with around 7 seconds left in the game, if he makes one free throw its basically over.

The dumbass tries to make a lay in gets blocked and the rockets tie it up and win in OT.

I have to give part of the blame to the coach. He should have told the players to hold it until 5 seconds left and then make a play.

Unlike NFL, their is basically no time for "teaching" during the season.
A losing scenario like this in the NFL would have multiple coaches/multiple tapes in a room with
all the offending players. In the NBA, the coaches get together in the hotel bar and commiserate.

Maybe so but he could have discussed it in the timeout before the play started if in fact there was a timeout. I know high school coaches who have been in similar situations that have told their players the same thing.

LOL buddy if I was a 6 foot 6 athletic beast I would be in the NBA too.

Get real most of these guys would be working at McDonalds's or Burger King without the NBA.
