Despite most bettors thought Nets are going to be garbage this year, they kept many games very competitive so far. They are playing solid team basketball and are playing with a lot of energy and effort on both sides of the ball.
All that being said, i don't see enough value in this line to back them here. Not having Lin and Vasquez is hurting them a lot. They are no superstars, with them, this offense runs much more smoothly. Whitehead is not very good and Kilpatrick didn't look comfortable running the point at all against the Hornets.

Better question is why would anyone want to bet Minnesota as a road favorite? And has already been mentioned, Nets have been competitive going 5-1 ATS. Model only has Minnesota -2.24

I lean that way but not strong enough. I don't quite know what to make of the Lakers just yet. Model does like Dallas at Lakers -3.08
