Game 4 - Lakers @ Rockets
Line opened up at -4 rockets and later went down to -3.5 as this is a do or die game for Houston. Now the line has jumped to 6 with the news that Yao Ming has a broken foot and will be out for the rest of the playoffs. Without Yao's leadership and clutch defense/rebounding and free throw shooting I don't see the rockets having a chance in this game. What do you guys think is gonna happen to the line, thinking about taking it now incase it goes up but worried about it going down because a do or die for houston. What do you guys think?

Houston doesn't have enough bodies and will be severely undersized. I do think they may play better without Yao but if anybody gets in foul trouble they're done. Plus where are they going to get points? It's going to take a herculean effort from a couple of guys to even come close to competing.Comment -

I think the Laker's are actually better with Fisher not playing. Brooks abused his ass and made him look like he needed to retire with his slow ass. Farmar and Shannon Brown are much quicker and can defend Brooks much better. Either way, the Rocket's problems are much more than Yao. Their offense is inept and they have noone that can take care of the ball since they got rid of Rafer. They turn the ball over way too much to be considered a threat. Plus their offense is very stagnant with everyone standing around watching Artest like the Cav's use to look with Lebron. Battier refuses to shoot the ball so Kobe could care less of really guarding him so guess what? Kobe doesn't have to work on defense which means more energy on offense. Battier supposed to be a great defender but all he's doing is putting a hand in Kobe's face but Kobe can hit 15 footers blindfolded. Houston refused to double him up and he's killing Battier.
Once again I ask... Where is Houston going to get points? I just put a fairly large play on Houston Under 94. Even in an uptempo game (which Houston can't have) I don't see them scoring 94 points. The only way Houston wins here is if the Lakers lay down and say fuk it let's win at home. That's not going to happen with them only up 2-1. If it was 3-1 maybe but not tomorrow.

Normally, I'd agree but I don't see where Houston can get their points from??? If this series wasn't so chippy, I'd probably lean Houston as players tend to step up when one of their own goes down for at least the next game. Plus LA has been prone to give up leads in the 2nd half but the fights/ejections has actually helped LA as they now seem more together versus a bunch of individuals. I've watched just about every Rockets game this year. They won't cave with Yao out. Now they'll run the floor better and if guys like Brooks and Scola are hitting their shots they can keep it close or pull it out.Comment -

Hey whats up Mac. I havent been on in awhile guys cuz Ive been movin and no internet at the new house yet. Anyways, doesnt it bother you that whole world is on Lakers? Everytime the consensus is this lopsided the underdog usually always covers. I may have to buy Houston up to maybe 10-10.5 and take them. Im definately on the over though. in the first game lakers played to houstons pace playing slow and then if you saw in game 2 and 3 the lakers pushed the ball down the court really fast and slow ass yao was still at half court and every time houston took yao out to rest houston went on a run because they picked up the pace and then houston had yao come back in and lakers went back up 15. yao is over rated and slow as hell!!Comment
