If you were ranked that high in DFS, I think you stand a chance here. I'm sure they/the big boys have already figured out a way to combine the methods of DFS research and Spread research, but there's probably plenty of meat left on that bone. I wish you luck. I'm not trying to get rich betting sports. I understand the edges are small and unfortunately the edges are also becoming a lot smaller in DFS. I've stopped playing cash games(50/50s, H2H etc) entirely. I WAS ranked top 25 two years ago but unfortunately I dropped out of the top 100 last year because I started playing a lot more outside FD/DK and played in bigger games and fewer lineups.

2 years ago I got into it, just a little. My results looked very promising, but I had to set it on the back burner as I had other pressing issues. Then the next year, this is all MLB, I tested the waters again and it was still promising, just not as much. Then this last season I said, "ef it, I'll file their little IRS paper and see about doing this for real." Well, obviously that IRS issue scared a lot of the bottom feeders out of the game. Competition was fierce. I only played small time in order to collect data, but yeah, it no longer looked promising so I bailed. You obviously know the importance of money management and line shopping, I assume. If not, start there. Question: What sports did you do best at?

I got into betting on sports while clearing a lot of the recent 100% Bitcoin bonuses sites were offering. It was an easy $6-8k I made rather quickly. I've played poker for a living for close to 10 years and switched to part time poker and part time DFS in 2013.

As for sports that I do best at in DFS it's NBA and NFL only. I've done MLB, PGA and others but that's not with the same passion or knowledge as NBA or NFL. I probably fired $200 a night in MLB and never had great results but wasn't losing money at it either. NBA when I played cash games I was putting about $5-6k in play a night across all the sites and now that I'm GPP only I'm only playing about $2-3k a night.

Betting on sports? Well, I'm 2-0 in NBA.

Money management is obvious as this is now included in my job title along with poker and dfs. Line shopping I figured out before placing a penny on any game. I've got money spread across many books that I play poker on and now also bet NBA on. Bitcoin makes it very simple.

Ugh. I had Jazz +8 -105 and Wizards -1 -105 and would have done very well to get those spreads but didn't get them in last night and the lines moved too far for me to still like both plays. Nothing for today I don't think. Not willing to take small edges and I'll wait for better spots.

Been very busy with NBA DFS so haven't been posting on here but I've done well betting and not so good at DFS. Down about $20k this month already.

Anyways I like a lot of things today.
