As the title suggests can James Harden lead the NBA in Assists?
Notes:
1) He's green lit at the PG position
2) D'Antoni Offense
3) Beverley injured, Eric Gordon likely to start -> More minutes for Harden
4) Ryan Anderson/Ariza/Gordon - good 3 point/shooting targets for Harden to hit
I know it's preseason but he led the NBA in assists in preseason on limited minutes.
His competition is obviously Westbrook, Rondo, CP3, John Wall.
Rondo - led nba in assists last year but with his new team i think he will regress, not many catch and shoot or pick and roll options. Wade and Butler will also dominate the ball more.
Cp3 - usage rate will go down, Griffin also likes to pass and be involved in the offense. He will still average 9.5-10 assists though
Westbrook - He is the favourite, however I feel his team will not be as good as everyone is thinking and instead Westbrook will take it upon himself to score more rather than distribute.
Its +800 on a few bookies in Australia. I'm liking it.
