Have been watching this one, and it is 7-1 so far in the playoffs. Makes sense, because a team that just got clobbered has more motivation for the next game, at least early. Look over the box scores of the first round playoffs, & see for yourself!

Take any team that just lost big (say 17 points or more) in the first half of the next game in the series.

Next game- Hawks plus 7 tomorrow night (1st half) vs Cavs

doubt this would of worked in the piston/cavs series... but have not checked it...

Only would have applied in Game 2, and the Cavs would have covered it. Only other loss would be Bulls in Game 4, after getting dusted in Game 3 by the Celts. They were favored by 1 in the 1st half, and were down by 1. Worked every other game.
