Fade the Faker's

The Laker's have been underachieving for the past month and a half even prior to the playoffs. Bynum is a shell of himself since coming back from surgery and is no factor in the game. Gasol can't use his European game over the likes of Scola and Yao who can play his game. Lamar Odum seems once again disinterested and hasn't shown up as well. Fisher looked old and slow against Brooks and its time for Farmer to get PT.

The Rocket's defense is very undervalued and they will give Kobe his points but make him trust his teammates much less. If he jacks up 30 shots for 30 points every night this will be an easy series. The key players are Odum, Ariza and Fisher/Farmer. If these guys don't wake up the Lakers are going to get shocked again.

In the last series after LA gave up huge leads to Utah and lose easy cover's I said I would fade these Faker's every chance I get. Everyone tonight thinks the Lakers are going blow Houston out but I'm fading the chit out of them based on past performance. I would not be surprised if the Rocket's beat them like they stole something tonight.

I was talking about game 1, like you were. He had a well rounded game, 50% from the field, 4 offensive rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and had a +/- of zero while playing 31 minutes. Lamar Odom, when clicking, is the most versatile player in the entire league. He was effective last game, he even took the task of guarding Yao for some time. Cant say he's disinterested when he's taking that challenge.

If your planning on him to have an off game for game 2, then that is another story.

I agree TSN, Odom is very versatile and he's extremely talented and is a matchup nightmare for any team. With his athleticism and length he should be Kobe's Pippen every night. This guy has all the tools to be a 20 point, 20 rebounder every night. BUT for some reason he underperforms. I can't put my finger on it but many nights he just doesn't show up. That last game he didn't show up. Those stats are not even close to his ability. He was also 1-6 from the FT line. WTF. Odom in my opinion is the key to this series. If he keeps having games like Monday LA is in trouble IMO.

I know personally Odom has had that tragedy with his child and I can easily see why basketball may not be top priority (which I agree). His teammates have said basically the same thing. I give him a pass but I know he can do much better.

I don't hate them, I love making money and this game should have cashed. The ref's controlled the game from the start and fukked Rocket's backers. Yao sat on the bench saddled with BS foul calls. If you blow on Kobe they make a call. If Kobe charges into Battier they call the foul on Battier. If Kobe throws an elbow at Artest throat they call the foul on Artest. Him and Fisher were both a bunch of bitches tonight.

I've bet more with the Laker's than against but they are not playing good ball right now. They gave up easy cover's against Utah and are still not playing well IMO. If Artest didn't get ejected, Houston would have covered. Everything bad that could happen, happened and the Rocket's weren't tough enough to withstand the fans, players and refs whistle.

Artest lost his cool and Von Wafer became a cancer on the bench. Bad recipe in the 2nd half.
