Since when did the Finals start on a Thursday?

Erm, since 2013? The last few finals have started on a Thursday with game 2 on the Sunday. I'm 100% sure of this as I know it's the night before the French Open semis every year.

However this new schedule with 2 days of rest between nearly every damn game is new. It used to be Thursday - Sunday - Tuesday - Thursday - Sunday - Tuesday - Thursday, then they just changed the game 7 to Friday after seeing both teams be a bit gassed in game 7 in 2013. Now the whole thing is nearly 3 weeks long which is a bit too much.

ha ok, i need to research better. I have it in my memory the 5-6 day hype job. The extra rest between games perhaps a delayed adjustment to the recently changed-to 2-2-1-1-1 format.
