Every road game they play, I see dozens of Warriors fans in the crowd. In Utah, Miami, Atlanta, Washington... Here I'm suddenly seeing Warriors fitted hats and shirts everywhere. And of course you have the fan girls on social media blindly sporting Warriors gear. I know these people aren't traveling from Oakland. That's non existent in US sports.

1 year ago I never saw this. Not a Warriors hater, just a bandwagon hater. The closest situation that I can think of is the one involving the 2010-2014 Miami Heat.

Emotionally investing in an NBA team is just not worth it.

nothing wrong with spending your money to go see the greatest team of all time. there is a reason most Warriors fans were not spending their money to go watch them play in many of the past seasons. you are also probably more focused on it this year than you have been in years past and some confirmation bias going on.

Greatest team of all time, WTF was that ? NBA is not even a real sport, not the regular season at any rate.

I agree. I specifically watch Warriors games to see them play. I loved watching their blowouts in the beginning of the season. I'm referring to the sudden spurts of "fans" showing up around the country. Remember that game vs Washington where Curry had 25 pts in the first? The cheering for them was louder than a Timberwolves home game. When did these people start showing up?

I don't think it's too surprising, they've always been one of the leaders in jersey sales even when they were garbage, so now that they're playing well and being marketed like crazy it makes sense that a lot of new/casual fans will hop on the bandwagon and buy all their gear. I was talking to some dude at a bar recently who was in head to toe Warriors gear and had no idea who David Lee was...

            Remember this?

Happens with a team having success fair weather fans jump on for the ride and hop back off when it's over. You should see KC area for over 2 decades nobody talks Royals it's Chiefs/Jayhawk country for most part. Now it looks like a smurf orgy with all the royal blue around the area. Bunch of poseurs acting like fans who have "always been there" when a couple years back most probably could not name 3 players lol.

Seahawks fans one of the funniest. Think it might be there fb page it shows number of followers pre and post SB win and the difference is staggering. Much like Saints fans the Hags fans were not many in #'s back in day and even wore bags on their heads. Now they get 5 min of success and overnight it's "who dat nation" and the 12th douche all loud and proud like they always been there.

Was gonna say the same thing. The Seahawks explosion was brutal. Just wait till the Cubs win one though.

Sad. Everywhere else in the world, this is common. In Europe, thousands travel to see their favorite soccer teams. In America, you rarely see the same atmosphere even if it's local (Miami vs Orlando, Knicks vs Nets, San Antonio vs Dallas)

Lakers, Yankees, and Duke? Assuming we're talking about Duke basketball, those are three of the most successful teams in their respective sports. You can't be a bandwagon fan of these teams. More often than pretty much any other teams in any American sports league, they're relevant when games start to matter. This is not what bandwagon means.

Ironically enough, I'd wager you weren't blowing these message boards up about how good the Cavs are when Lebron was in Miami. You see the difference?

Not a warriors fan, as you know, and their bandwagon is obnoxious, but at least I am aware that they had one of the best NBA fan bases when they sucked -- have been top 0 in attendance and they were barely getting twenty win seasons -- I respect their true fans -- the duke bandwagoners who huff and puff their skeet however (ie; cj, meader, gressyville) disgust me

I'm not defending Duke. In fact, I hate Duke. But teams that are as historically and recently successful as those three do not fall into bandwagon territory.

In Australia we have nothing much going on other than sports. It's not even a big deal for fans to travel interstate to watch their footy (AFL) team play. Come finals time, it's expected of you. I travel interstate every year to watch state of origin (rugby league).

Nobody outside Cleveland gave 2 shits about that team before Bron and they won't when he leaves. Unless another face of nba type player lands in their laps thru draft (because) nobody will go there thru free agency with no Bron the Cavs are back page news in bottom corner.

Team has always sucked ass minus the few years shortly after Maloofs took over and had those exciting teams with Stoya, Webber, White Chocolate , Jackson, Divac etc. More power to fans like that!

Sparty fan here and always loved Draymond he has heart, a true warrior, and the kind of guy every nba squad needs with toughness , heart, versatility. Never thought he would get this good at top of nba elite status but such a great story and true class player!

                                                        AGREED we fukkin deserve it.

I always liked LeBron and the Heat but Miami's fans were the absolute worst. They didn't deserve that team.

Kings had a real solid fan base for a long time, and I guess they still kind of do but the Maloofs ripped all their hearts out. Sleep Train is dead these days. I'm sure there are a lot of old school fans that would love to come back out and support them if they got their shit together, but unless you're a big fan of losing, complaining, and technical fouls, you're not gonna have much to cheer for.

Yeah he's got as much heart as anyone in the game and really is what drives this team behind the scenes and allows Steph to do what he does on the court.

One of my favorite Draymond moments was when he was a rookie and dropped Jeremy Tyler as his mentor cause he was "soft" lol here's a snippet from an article about it:

The Warriors have a tradition of pairing rookies with a veteran. Jeremy Tyler, also a first-round hopeful who fell to the second round the year before, wound up as Green’s vet.
With his lifestyle, you would’ve never guessed Tyler was on a cheap salary and barely clinging to a roster spot. He introduced Green and the other youngsters to the lavishness of being an NBA player.
Then came summer league. Not even a month removed from the draft, Green and Harrison Barnes and Festus Ezeli highlighted some all-out practices in Las Vegas. In the midst of a heated session, Tyler called what Green thought was a weak foul.
                                                            Green went off.
He told Tyler it wasn’t a foul. He told Tyler he was soft. He told Tyler he’d never get respect in this league. And then he denounced him.
“He dropped him as his vet,” Barnes said, still smiling at the years-old incident. “He said Jeremy couldn’t be his vet anymore.”
That spirit has infiltrated the Warriors. Green pushes and pushes, prodding his teammates to another level. The result is a team that is fine being pushed and accustomed to pushing back. And yes, a team that is sometimes irritated.

Irony is a shit town with worst luck like Cleveland might not ever get a title and would have been better suited hosting that Heatle team than Miami. Kind of sad Cleveland luck is so bad though they might be in a small group as a franchise in modern nba history (post 80) to have a face of nba franchise all world star and never get a title. Utah only one that might qualify I can think of? If Cavs don't win this year things could go south in a hurry and I wouldn't be shocked a bit if Bron walks. Getting old and knows clock is ticking fast!

Here I'm suddenly seeing Warriors fitted hats and shirts everywhere. And of course you have the fan girls on social media blindly sporting Warriors gear. I know these people aren't traveling from Oakland. That's non existent in US sports.
