I think it's worth it. You may catch the Cavs on one of their typical fk ups. Especially since they stated that rest > first seed

      Good point.

I suppose I should explain my pick. One thing I like about this is that the Nets have been putting forth a good effort at home. I just looked at their recent schedule and found that they had 9 consecutive games on the road. WTF?? How does that ever happen?

The Nets have covered their last 2 home games and may be looking to surprise the Cavs here.

Speaking of rest, I was looking at the previous scores of the Cavs' next 3 opponents including the Nets (NY and Houston being their next 2). Cleveland scored 91 points in each of the previous games with each of these teams so they may be looking to take it easy. I may also be looking at taking the under here.

Can we be so lucky to catch LeBrick taking this game off?

I'm probably going to hold off on this one until the game starts, the nets tend to fall behind early and then they battle back late in the 3rd and 4th quarters. I'll wait to see if I can get a better spread during the game.

I usually wait until just before game time to bet in case a team has a player out but this one just seems like too obvious of a trap to me.

Let us know what you decide if you think of it.

Brooklyn now at +5 1/2 at some books.

Also playing Portland +4 1/2. Let's see if that changes sometime this morning as well.

The Nets last game was a home game. They have not played nine straight road games.

I said "recent". Recent doesn't necessarily mean "last".

I can see the Cav's resting guys at the last minute, they played a ton of minutes last night. If they get behind they just might throw in the towel. I can see a shitty Brooklyn team take them down. Wouldn't fall off my chair if they did. GL man.

Good point. I hadn't thrown that into the equation. Thanks for the input.

It was being kept down earlier by the rumors that LBJ was resting. Once he was announced probable, jumped back to the opening number of 9 as of now.

Yep. I think you're right. Which is why I mentioned that I usually like to wait just before game time to make a decision.

                                    Lesson learned I guess.

I think I'm just going to not over react and will just stick with my bet. Maybe I'm just stubborn.
In addition to Brooklyn and Portland mentioned earlier, I'm also going with NY +4.

3-0 today with the last-second shot by JJ Reddick to beat Portland by 2. The other 2 dogs won outright.

Thanks. It's looking like the Lakers tonight. I'll create a new thread for that one closer to game time.

Edit: line moved away from target. Will post later if it moves to a better position.

The line moved away from the target I was looking for so I'm holding off. I may not play it. Brooklyn looked so good the night before that I felt any news wouldn't change my mind so I posted it early.
The Mavs look better for now. Too many points to ask GS to cover. When I see the line I like I'll post it.

Yeah, Denver hasn't been putting forth a good effort lately. I thought this could be a good bounce-back game for the Lakers after being trounced by 12 points against Phoenix.

even we all know that LAK is not that kind of team who want to bounce back
but I think point here is Denver performance , if they wanna win .. they will do by Double Digits

and if they do not , they will lose easily
