I am a nobody here so my opinion means nothing and you are by far the better handicaper but I really don't understand this thinking. Are you going to play the NBA next year? Next year you start from scratch. This year you have the teams and points figure out as good as it gets. When I get in that mode then I run it until I start loosing more. If that happens I scale back not because I don't want to lose money (especially not since I would gamble that money another day)

        Either way BOL to everyone

Well mike it is like this, during the early to middle part of the NBA season teams are giving their best effort and playing their key players most of the game which makes the game easier to handicap. I feel better putting more money on the game. As the season progresses and we get to this stage, teams start resting their stars and you may not know who is going to play any particular night. I have been burned many times like this. One of the worse coaches to do this is coach "POP" in San Antonio. Give it a few more games and someone out there will wager 10 units on San Antonio and come game time it will be announced that three starters will not play because they are "resting." Another problem that could happen toward the end of the season is a team could be looking for a higher draft pick so they go into "tank" mode. These things are hard to predict so I feel safer placing lower wagers toward the end of the season then I will raise my unit level once I get a handle on what is going on in MLB. I guess you can look at it like the stock market, In the early part of the NBA season it is more stable so it could bring on more of a "bull" market. Toward the end of the NBA season teams are resting players then it becomes unstable which could bring on the "bear" market. This is just the way I handle my business. I hope this gives you a better understanding mikeak, good luck.

BTS - thanks! That logic I get 100% and it makes more sense to me than just trying not to lose back my winnings

And yes have been burned by easy matchup where suddenly a bunch of players on no notice are out
