Uncle Drew has been brutal since returning with averages of 10.0 points, 3.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.7 turnovers on a woeful 29.4 percent shooting, and it's going to take some time to knock the rust off after Irving missed so much time. Matthew Dellavedova will likely start in Irving's place on Tuesday.
The Suns officially promoted Nate Bjorkgren and Earl Watson on Monday.
With the move, former assistants Mike Longabardi and Jerry Sichting have been shown the door. It's strange enough to fire a coach's top assistants midseason while leaving the head coach in charge, but it's even weirder when the team tries to spin it as a way that allows Jeff Hornacek another shot at survival. We don't like Hornacek's chances of surviving the season in Phoenix.
