Go with the home team, especially when the road team could care less, are resting, have guys suspended, are horrible on the road, etc...
Basketball - Philadelphia 76ers - spread -6 (-110)
for the entire game held on Apr 14 at 7:05pm
Philly have lost 5 straight but 4 have been on the road and the home loss was to the best team in the league, Cleveland. 6ers defense has been horrible especially guarding the perimeter. Fortunately for them the Celtic's will be 3 pt challenged especially with Ray Allen suspended. The 76ers have started most games real slow so be careful betting the 1st quarter. I think they will turn it on in the 2nd quarter and have the game clearly in hand by the 4th. 1st half bet is probably more risky than just going with the game line. I'm taking Philly 1st half 1 unit and game 5 units.
Basketball - Atlanta Hawks - spread -2½ (-115)
for the 1st half held on Apr 14 at 6:05pm
This will be a game of cat and mouse. Neither team will want to show the other it's hand going into the playoffs. I expect the Hawks to play hard early, work on some offensive sets and have a big lead in half. 2nd half will be unpredictable as hell. Solomon Jones and Mario West should have career days. I'm taking Atlanta 1st half 2 Units.
Basketball - Los Angeles Lakers - spread -3 (-115)
for the 1st half held on Apr 14 at 9:35pm
This is a no brainer. Phil Jackson is a phsycology major and this game is what he longs for in order to gain a mental edge. Simply put if the Lakers win they will play Utah in the playoffs. If Utah wins the Lakers will play either Dallas or New Orleans. While it may seem like the Lakers should avoid Utah, I actually think they would rather play them versus the other 2. Both Dallas and NO could pull a rabbit out of the hat and win a game in LA but Phil knows that no way in hell does Utah win in LA. This game will be played hard by both teams but the Lakers are the better team, especially at home and have the better bench. The starters will play reduced minutes but neither team will want to lose this game. In the end, homefield advantage will be too much for Utah and they will be sent a beatdown message leading to the series.
I'm on the Lakers 1st half 3 units and game 2 units...
The last few days of the regular season is always a shaky end and you have to be careful of lines that at first glance seem ridiculous. GL All
