Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love have both started All-Star Games..
Irving won the MVP in one of them..

Thompson is great, but not a max contract.

that said.. i think LeBron made a mistake by going Max himself, he should
have led by example here (like Tim Duncan) and taken less...
show other players that unselfish play is "all-season long"

if he takes $15-20M a season, then throw that extra dough at TT

What is a max contract this summer will be much less in future years -that's why he's a max player. Seems greedy to be holding out over supposedly small details though. Reminiscent of the holdout between Varejao & the Cavs the year after they went to the finals.
