Its basically free points. Even at 30/60, thats 30 more points with 0 seconds spent (ok maybe 2-3 seconds each time they foul).

And a lost possession. The Clippers scored almost 110 per 100 possessions this season. Jordan would have to hit 55% to maintain that pace, which he's not doing. Of course, this puts the Rockets in the penalty every quarter. It's also forcing them to put guys on the court that aren't in their normal rotation so they can use fouls. Not sure where that makes the break-even for FT%, but these points aren't "free."

They are on pace. The killing of the flow is the only negative. Its not really a waste of possession as it gets compensated with extra time.

Its only really beneficial if the Clips are doing it also which they arent. Houston watches Jordan miss the fts, then dicks around with no fluidity on offense for 16-20 seconds then they do it all over. We are on pace but not because of the hacking
