What do you guys think about Lakers-Nuggets under 210? 8 of the last 9 lakers games have gone under. 4 of last 5 nuggets games went under. The last 6 games between them has gone under and 8 of the last 9 games have gone under.

Nuggets arent a defensive squad. They rely on Birdman to block shots, just like last year when they leaned on Camby. Billups cant guard everyone. Plus Denver is on a B2B, commonly teams lean on their strengths(offense) when tired.

Lakers arent known for their defense either. Over the year it seems Lakers want to outscore others, since their ego tells them their offense will win it anyway. Both teams can hit threes at a good rate, and have good bench scoring. GL either way, really I'm just trying to improve my logic and get better at these write ups.
Plus I'm not a big trends guy, They hand out tipsheets full of that stuff at my Sportsbook. And I know they dont want to help us, only lead us on.

Houli, I know that neither team in this game are exceptional defensive teams but the numbers don't lie. Both these teams have been going under like crazy. I am probably going to lay off but its very appealling when you consider the trends. I have to disagree on one of your points though. The reason LA has been struggling so much lately is because of the lack of bench scoring. Pau has to play big minutes every night because DJ Mbenga (who by the way I think is the worst NBA player around) is his backup.

Hey I'm not a Totals guy at all. But I've started to play them since I've found some practical reasoning behind predicting them, and that UConn Womens game padded my pockets. PM Pho3, he is really good at totals. I call him the Totals Guru. Haha

I'm not sure exactly what you're talking about bro (no disrespect intended at all), Billups has been a solid defensive PG ever as long as he has been a journeyman in the NBA From the TWolves to the Raps to the Detroit. Renaldo Balkman has outstanding athleticism and uses it well guarding 3's (such as Odom), Kenyon Martin is an above-average defender who blocks a few shots and plays particularly good weakside defense. Throw in Nene & Birdman thats two interior intimidators. Denver is definitely a solid defensive squad.

As far as LA goes, Derek Fisher is an above-average defender, Kobe is outstanding (hence his many All Defensive Team selections), Trevor Ariza is a great on the ball defender, gets a few steals a game, Odom has the versatility and athleticism to defend a few positions and Gasol is not stellar on D, but boxes his man out and puts an extra hand up on every shot.

I was saying Billups is their best defender, was'nt slighting him. All those guys on the Lakers you named are possession defenders. They can lock down their man on any possession, but rarely do the Lakers, as a team, have any defensive intensity throughout a whole game. Besides Lakers and Denver take so many threes, there should be a run n' gun feel to the game. Yo love the feedback, but im not going to budge.

I think Bynum can be huge for the Lakers if he gets good minutes tonight. If he starts and they can bring Odom off the bench to help the scoring load then this game probably won't be close.

Yeah bro - just trying to help. By the way, my bad I just re-read your comment and I misunderstood what you said. I'm just thinking maybe they put it all together especially going down the stretch into the playoffs - looking to secure home-court, but the possible return of Bynum could mess that up.
