When I originally capped the game, it came out as Den (-7) with my normal method and as Den (-2.5) with the quick & dirty approximation. The posted line agrees with my numbers pretty well. My total came out as exactly 209, so despite seeming off, I think it's actually a pretty fair spread.
The thing about Utah is though, when they win, it's by an average of ~12ppg, and when they lose it's by ~10.5ppg. They win big and lose big (Only 14/74 games played this year ended by a spread of less than 5 points = 19%). The odds strongly favour either them blowing out Denver or being blown out, and Utah definitely needs the win more right now to stay out of 8th and avoid the Lakers in the first round of the playoffs.Comment -
