Thats the point Im making ie its harder to bet with real money because it brings emotions into play however many people cant do sports or currency without money either!! more to the point show me the trader who can trade with money but not on the demo – wont happen

and there are a whole lot more reasons why people dont money on currency thats for sure, I can tell from direct experience all the various interesting practices that go on lol but anyway we are talking sports here

Yes you have some good points. I was just using an example of how paper trading & practicing without $$ on the line works out badly. I don't do any trading, my job is the boring stuff with client accounts.

The emotional side is the hardest, a few losses and the doubt starts creeping in. I also get tunnel vision and miss out on better plays on the card.

Yep thats always a problem, the way to counteract is have a post literally on your desk/computer which says “I have been successfully (reasonably whatever works! Lol) betting sports for three years” and include some figures to support. Having a visual aid which you produce when clear headed helps when
you are struggling, this is a critical aspect I learned from high speed currency options when you had to make choices including direction/price/amount in split seconds (I assume you are very familiar). Simple aids like this are extremely helpful. Im going to post some NBA plays tomorrow two which I know right now are very strong so have a look at those and see what you think. Good luck!

I'm on the east coast. Games usually start around 11am-2:30pm. I can get away with checking scores on the work pc but that's about it! I got the NBA game time app on my phone.
