no, i make a side bet when i feel the pick is strong enough. in my first post you can see where this is explained. i have set aside $1,000 in which i bet 5% of that bankroll as it increases or decreases. right now for my side bets i am 21-13 and up $344. so tonight i have bet $65 on this game because i feel it is worthy. i dont calculate it to be exactly 5% every single time. i usually just eye it and try to do the math in my head. if i wanted to be exact 5% of 1,000 + 344 = $1,344 would be $67. with my side bets i am trying to accomplish 60% results. i am keeping these bets low in this thread so i don't take the spotlight away from my chase method.

however i am also betting $180 which is bet D for my chase method. if you look over the first post with the directions it might help you better understand. i have a long way to go but i am already 1/10 of the way there. once i win back my $20 in the chase i will go back to 3-4 plays a day to speed this up. when i get a couple of legs down in the chase i try to only go with 1 pick a day because i want to focus on quality. hope this answers your question.

Thanks for the props Houlihans. For the finals I won't bet too big on spreads because it is so tough at this stage. You have to realize that the further you go into the playoffs and finals the tougher it is to handicap. I am going with a strong investment play with the Lakers winning the finals (-245). They have the depth and most importantly the experience to win this series. After losing to Boston last year the Lakers will not lose a second time around to the inexperienced Magic. I could give a very good writeup on this but I will pass.

For tomorrow night's action I will bet big on the under 103.5 in the 1st half. Having many days off, both teams will start rusty and also rely on a very strong defensive presence. I also like the under 206 for the game but you really never know. If the game was to come down to the wire free throws could rack up some points at the end and the possibility of overtime. I will also place a small bet on the Lakers -3 1st half. I see the Lakers setting the tone in this series early. The will feed off the crowd's intensity, and unlike the Cavs will hold strong to their early lead.

I have done my homework on this total and its basically a strong trends bet. Since 1995 in the NBA Finals Game #1 there has never been more than 200+ points scored during the game (4 quarters). Now there was one instance where it did break 200 but that was in 2001 when the 76ers defeated the Lakers scoring 20 points in overtime. Whether you like trends or not you really can't go against this one. Good luck buddy!
