    Irving doesnt fit in Cavs
I was just watching Cavs at Knicks and got fed up with all Irvings selfishness. He plays like he's alone, he doesnt care about his team mates. Kevin Love needs more ball!!

Also, Lebron is becoming a chicken. Scared to shoot, scared to drive into the basket, stupid dumb turnovers...

Varejao and the rest of team are just funny...

But basically what i see is Lebron and Irving vs the other team. And i dont mean theyre playing good! They need to penetrating share the ball with the rest, specially Kevin Love who had about the same number of wins last season with Twolves by now. With this pace theyll win the title in 3 or 4 years.

They'll never win the title with this core imo but I've already said this a lot on here.

The Cavs are a mess because:

1.) As you said, Irving is an iso player and not a point guard. He is athletic and can get hot, but an iso point guard is not effective in this league. Irving does not get the other players involved and cannot read the floor. Chalmers wasn't the greatest point guard either when he was with Lebron, but he knew his role and let Lebron handle it in the big moments. That is not the case with the Cavs. You would think Irving forgets Lebron is even on his team sometimes

2.) Lebron isn't chicken, but he becomes a non-factor behind a lot of the other players on this team. The team chemistry is absolutely awful. They have no identity, they are not surrounding their offense around the greatest player in the world. In big moments this year, it has been Irving and Love taking and missing a lot of shots. Lebron also has been turning the ball over because this team is not used to his passes he sneaks in a tight window, causing the ball to get turned over

3.) Kevin Love cannot hit big shots. When the game is close, he consistently misses and becomes cold. He does not play good defense and is probably the most overrated sack of shit in the NBA

4.) Varejao is indeed funny. He is a streaky player, doesn't play a lot of minutes, and is injury prone

5.) The coach. The team does not have respect for their coach. This was apparent when Irving essentially flipped off the Coach when he called the time out during the Cavs last possession last night. The coach is in his first year in the NBA with a team that has more egos than the Heat did the last few years

        5) agree completely. This coach stands no chance with this group. Where did he come from some euro-league of class"D" players. Never heard of him. I'm sure he is knowledgeable, but with these ego's, forget about it.

          @Spedizzo,

          2) I completely disagree. Ive always liked Lebron but last night i finally realized that lately hes been kinda scared of something im not sure of. He wants the ball, but when he has an open shot, he just passes. I cant understand it! Not to mention his dribbling skills are getting pretty notorious. I dont blame all those turnovers on his team mates. Its his willingness to play too much time as a PG that makes him turn it over so much.
Last night he had a few dunk opportunities and he went for the easy layup and missed it at times...being a chicken

3)I also fully disagree. Kevin Love has a good range. And his defense is starting to get better. We all see whats happening with the Twolves this season and what happened last season.

While this team, Cavs, insist in not switching the ball like they did in their win over Magic nearly 2 weeks ago, theyre going absolutely no where.

          5) Yeah i saw that. Forgot to mention it. Having a 22 year old contesting a coach' decision...It says a lot about who Irving thinks he is.

After watching this, if i see Irving shooting at every chance he has in the 1Q, im definitely going against Cavs.

It's amazing how many people don't get this.

There was a thread last year where people were giving their "top 5 NBA players" and a few people mentioned him. Guy isn't even a top 5 PF. I'd take Aldridge, Davis, Dirk, Duncan, Griffin, Randolph, Bosh, Millsap over him. Nene and David Lee are debatable as well imo.

So your point is that he makes a shitty team less shitty?

Wolves are playing without 3 starters as well so far this year. Hard to win like that. They had a couple guys injured every now and then last year but this year they've just been decimated.

My point is that hes a good shooter, rebounder, SMART and is definitely improving his defense. But yeah, id take a few of those instead of him. Kevin Love is the kind of guy who's overrated and underrated.

Well it is no secret that Rondo would be a better fit with the Cavs than Irving...who as many have already mentioned is a ball first shoot first point guard...Telling this fella to pass to the open man at his age is essentially as fool hardy as telling a young Kobe the same thing...Lebron had to have known this before he went to Cleveland..which is why I have said in the past that championships were not Lebrons motivation for returning home...

He will attempt to mold Kyrie long term if that is even possible...winning may very well be a bi-product of such an endeavor...but it was never guaranteed... Kyrie is signed long term...it may be several years before Kyrie is willing to become a real point guard...Lebron may very well wait that long as at this point it is more about the process than the final goal....

hmm.. i think that lebron functioning as the PG works pretty well..

nobody sees the floor better.. and Kyrie loves scoring.. so he's not torn..

Lebron wants the 'W' no matter what..
and Kyrie wants the win.. but really gets off scoring..

so both of them are happy..

from what i see, if LBJ has more Assists than Irving, things run smoothly

Rondo a bad fit, great PG, but too old and injury prone.. LBJ would never allow it,
Irving's talent/age are an enormous factor in him being back in Cleveland.

Lebron has a high % of turnover in final moments. Not only from this season...

And i agree, he wouldnt let Irving out. It was just a thought, i know its impossible.

i noticed more turnovers this season earlier as well..

i fault Lebron getting too fancy with his passes..
i saw at least a dozen, wherein they would have been spectacular highlight material
                        had they successfully been completed..

that is a bad reason to pass.. just go for the high-percentage pass

i think Lebron stopped fooling around with the ball

you mention wins as if it means anything. This team is is basically the Heat with a very good young PG and Lebron is the best there is.. they can beat any team just like the Heat....
