    Rondo to the Lakers rumours
    Anyone believe those?

Would potentially put the Lakers back in the picture to make the playoffs if they could also add some shooting.

Playoff picture?? Their bigs are awful. Jordan Hill is decent but after him you have Boozer, Sacre, Ed Davis and an injured Randle

    That ain't gonna do it

Who does Boston get? Assume it is Lin and a pick?

Yeah they have rim protection problems but I feel like they'd be able to overcome that.

Jordan Hill has been a nice surprise for them. I shrugged at the 9M/year deal. Even though next year is a team option so they didn't really take much of a risk.

I feel like with Rondo and maybe 1 more move they'd be able to get to 43-45. Whether that's enough or not to make it in I don't know. Probably not unless someone has an injury. But at least they'd be in the picture instead of being in irrelevant territory of winning 30-35 games.

I read on twitter Nash's expiring contract and 2 first rounders as a "supposition". Yours sounds decent too.

Interested to see where this goes. I'd love to see Kobe playing on a competitive team again.

I'm guessing you are a Lakers fan? Personally I could care less if Kobe has a good team or not, he is one of my least favorite athletes ever. I hope he gets stuck with the shit team he's on that he is mostly responsible for

Celts are stocking up on picks. Could be good for em. They will get worse and get better pick and Smart can have at it. Lakers already looked a small bit better when Swaggy P came back. They have their TV deal so we all have to watch em. I agree, it would be good if they mattered.

                No Mavs fan.

I just like Kobe a lot. This is the last few years we get to see him play so I'd rather it be on a good team.

I really like Rondo, but im not sure this is the best spot for him to land. I wish he could stay with the Celts. He needs and deserves a better team. He would be king next to a great SG and PF who can shoot like Kevin Love.

Well it's not impossible you could have Rondo Kobe and Love all suiting up for the Lakers on opening day next season.

I think Love stinks but maybe playing with a guy who won't take his soft bullshit like Kobe he can finally actually start becoming a winning player.

I heard LAL have a top-5 protected pick from some trade so if they do too well this year they'll lose it. Basically, their motivation should be to lose. Of course, that goes against what Kobe is trying to do in his "golden years". LAL are just a mess.... it's starting to remind me of the Vince McMahon WWF soap opera meets sports.

Its possible, but i dont think Love wants to leave. I mean, from what i see, everyone enjoys playing with Lebron, and Kobe is starting to get even more infamous. And let's get real, Cavs will not win this season, their team kinda sucks. 0 depth! But im sure he'll grow a lot next to Lebron as the season goes by.

Rondo could go, its quite possible, but theyre talking about max contract in Boston. Have you ever thought about him joining the Rockets? I hate the Rockets but he would definitely fit in! They need a decent PG.

They won't get a top 5 pick (unless they get very lucky via the lottery).

The Wolves, Jazz, Sixers, Magic, Pistons are all much worse than them even if they make no moves.

Normally I would say this would be a disaster in the making...but Rondo is unique in that he is in fact a point guard first and a shooter second and he rarely shoots the ball and of course this would be wonderful news for Kobe who will continue to shoot and shoot and shoot...lol.

The problems that will arise however if Rondo does in fact end up in LA will be whether or not Kobe will allow Rondo to play point guard. Rajon needs the ball in his hands...Nash rarely was given that privledge, i don't see how it will be any different with Rondo. And Rondo is not nearly as diplomatic as Nash is about such things...

Rondo will slap Kobe if need be...perhaps Kobe will respect that...I dunno....things could go well or things could get ugly...either way its an interesting proposition...

Rondo and Kobe seem to respect the other being an "asshole" if you believe what the media says.

This is all very hypothetical at this stage anyway.

The main problem is that they both need the ball but at least if you turn Steve Nash into a spot up shooter he can actually do the job. Rondo can't shoot to save his life. It's hard to imagine Kobe playing with a point guard who can't shoot....

I guess we'll see how it works if it ever happens.

He's a skilled offensive basketball player.

He's a loser though. Will never amount to anything as the 1st or probably even 2nd option on any team.

We've had this discussion in the past. We both know what the other thinks.

I read the same in an article suggesting Lakers need to tank.

Its very possible Kobe is saying all the right things about helping the Lakers but internally they have an agreement to move him before the deadline. Desperate teams have more demand, The Lakers sellout until then and keep TV happy, and Kobe gets to pick from the offers. Maybe Lakers paid him huge for this plan knowing that either another team will foot the bill or he would be injured and insurance could kick in for big % of next year salary.

Wont happen, would be a disaster waiting to happen, Rondo is a guy who demands the ball and Bean would mess all that up, can you imagine Bean turning Rondo into a spot shooter, a guy who cant shoot.

Interested to see where this goes. I'd love to see Kobe playing on a competitive team again.
i think boston rather have lin than nash.
