Why does the NBA tolerate Tommy Heinsohn as a commentator?

That goes for most team broadcasters. You watch enough league pass and the homerism gets nauseating. Tommy H is probably the worst though. Even as a spurs fan I hate listening to Sean Elliott do games, it just gets ridiculous after awhile.

I like listening to him as long as I have the Celtics in the game. If I have the other team I just put the other team's broadcast. Good thing about NBA LP.

I don't mind that. It's the company men that bother me. Tuning in to a Warriors game and being told 100 times over how great the Warriors organisation is. You can roughly translate "warriors organisation is so wonderful" with "i like my job".
