Silverman says sports betting is inevitable in the NBA and he is open to it.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver believes expanded legalized sports betting in the U.S. is "inevitable," and the league is open to participating in it.

Finally, someone with some common sense.

Every league has seen for decades how sports betting has driven the viewership and, early on, ticket sales while denouncing that same betting. The hypocrisy has always been there...this turn by Silver is a bit of a surprise.
In fact, some will argue that Monday Night Football wouldn't even exist if there was no gambling.

I love how ESPN has their own "Betting" section now. http://espn.go.com/betting/

I dont know, I have mixed feeling about this....
I would love for sports gambling to be fully legalized but I don't think Silver should of said the NBA open to"participating" in it.
If people think NBA games are rigged now, this would open the floodgates of accusations

The ESPN gambling expert said betting outside of Nevada will happen in 3 years. Also claims that teams would charge books to be able to take bets on their team.
