Not worth it most of the time in hoops, especially at -120. I did it once this year I think, but for the most part, buying points in hoops is horrible, especially in NBA.

buying hooks in basketball hinges on the premis that basketball has key numbers, like in Football. It does not, therefore hooks aren't a good buy at 10 cents or more. In reality, paying an extra 10 cents may make the bet a bad one if the increased odds of winning doesn't surpass or at the very least equal the payout odds. At 10 cents, I cant see that being possible. If you want a half point, wait for the line to fluctuate and snag the bet at the line you want.
