tex hooper is a character on norm macdonald's cd "ridiculous". it is absolutely hilarious and i suggest you track it down and listen to it if you can.

rowdy, there's a series of gambling skits throughout the album as well. norm plays a gambling sportscaster (alongside jim lampley) who has made the wager of his life (a 2 team parlay for over $100,000, involving the bengals, who had already covered that day, and the jags, which is the game they're calling). it's pretty funny; norm's character doesn't try to hide the fact that he's got money on the game at all. in real life i understand he's a pretty reckless gambler, so it's pretty accurate from a degenerate's standpoint.

CK: Glad to see you're still here. I pulled out of betting about 6 weeks ago due to a family emergency, I was up a fairly decent amount (it was small fries to ya'll i'm sure but I was up about 10x my deposit, mostly thanks to your plays).
