Should Patty Mills be a starting guard in the NBA?
My buddy and I were discussing this the other day. He's an outstanding role player for the Spurs and I love the guy's game, though I'm not sure about his future as a 40-minute per game kind of guy.

If he continues to have a productive postseason, do you think he's deserving of full-time minutes with a lesser franchise?

    Nope. Perfect system right now.

Kinda like Gary Neal was. Neal took the money - I don't blame him.

He is a good 3-point shooter but he needs to improve his mid-game a bit. Easy to shine when you play for the Spurs but maybe in a couple of years if he continues to develop.

FWIW, I was arguing against it. My buddy thinks he should be starting and playing big minutes somewhere.

It's not a ridiculous question. Take a look around the league.

Easy. Any PG on Lakers roster and Raymond Felton.

I didn't even feel like dignifying that with an answer. If he honestly doesn't think there's two worse starting guards in the league then he clearly doesn't know anything about the league.

Perfect spark guy off the bench for any team. Don't think he is much a system guy as some others because he is so erratic and unpredictable compared to the guys who come in and play the 2-3 position for the spurs year in and year out.

Great spark guy. I remember him from his college days at St Mary's. Him and Curry were lighting it up at small schools.

He's a shooting guard in a pg's body, not even sure he knows how to facilitate, 95% of the time he's shooting the ball.

True, if I had to compare him to anybody I think mo williams would fit the bill or even a smaller jamal crawford. Both guys who get the majority of their points from chucking it off the pick n roll. No need for the roll guy 99% of the time.
