Shocks shouldn't be favored over anyone especially when they lost both meetings with stars and haven't beat anyone in ages. To me it just seemed to be a nicely set up day time trap for suckers

Nothing can predict the outcome, but I think just the fact that Tulsa was favored by that number shows that Vegas had a lot more faith in the Shock than we did. And from the betting trends I was watching, 82% of the public had the Stars as well. I had 'em at +2.5, too. Look at the total. When I checked it this morning, it was 159.5. According to sites I was checking, people were hitting the under hard. The under trend went from 62% to 77% at tip off. Yet the number went up to 160.5 at game time. Just somethings that I look at...

This is true indeed. And it's not just the power ratings, it's how you use them. I would advise any bettor to learn how create his own line.
And also be able to come up with the same line as Vegas. Being able to do these two things will go a long way towards winning.
