That's true. A lot of teams are focusing on that. I want to say I read that a study was done on the most valuable shots in basketball. After a layup of any sorts a 3-pointer is the 2nd most valuable shot in the NBA. And I want to say it also said the mid range jumper is the worst shot anyone can take. It makes sense to me when you weight distance away from the rim vs. points awarded.
