Well Derozen needs to play better...and they got off to sluggish start...those two factors contributed heavily to the loss...but I will give you the Refs...they clearly will favor the Nets..now why they get the treatment is what can be debated...Derozen and Lowry as young guys getting their first taste of postseason meat...are never going to get calls before seasoned respected vets like Garnett and Pierce...just forget about it..lol.....
Obviously...the NBA does not want Raptors vs Heat...it would be a ratings disaster for one...and two...Raptors might steal two games...and the refs might have to get involved...lol....Pierce, Garnett, Kid.Lebron, Ray and Wade.....and Barclays arena are great tv...and provide several storylines the NBA needs to sell the playoffs....I am sure the refs have been made aware of whats at stake...lolComment -
I was just going to ignore the OP and post a few stats from the game making the claim seem silly, but i couldn't resist calling you a moron before i did that.
Anyway, here are some facts:
Prior to a minute left in the game when the Raps started fouling on purpose there was a total of FOUR fouls called in the quoter. One of them an offensive foul on the Nets (END THREAD HERE PLS) and three defensive fouls on the Raps leading to a grand total of 2 Nets free throws. Neither team was in the bonus (in case that wasn't obvious).
Also the Raps shot 21 free throws by half time including two technical fouls, one of which was complete bs (Blatche bumping into Lowry) and the other (KG) is a no call 9/10 times.
The refs also put two impact players on the bench with fouls, Plumlee for the Nets and Ross for the Raps.
So yeah, the fix was in.

Why worry about the refs though? They can seem very one sided at times, but for the most part things even out over time. Sometimes the bounces just go against a team all night. Refs favouring home teams and star players is a fact of life in the NBA.Comment -

Brooklyn okc Miami and Portland and washington are the teams that stood out from game 1s that got the majority of calls their way if you actually bother watching games which a lot of people here don't . those teams are , not surprisingly, all the teams that won their respective games. the nba is wwf now whoever the refs want to win will win.Comment -
