Indiana -6 vs Portland

I Would like to hear some thoughts on this match up. I feel like it's a good spot for Indiana. I already have a decent sized wager on Indy....

Like my Utah thread earlier in the week, I'm really just looking for reasons not to take Indy for more. Thanks in advance.

simply looking at the 4th quarter alone of their last meeting PORTLAND 16 free throws attempted to IND 6 free throws attempted (last free throws attempted by IND was at 4:35 mark)

in addition PORTLAND shot 8/16 (50%) in the 4th quarter, IND missed 17 shots (more shots than POR attempted) made 10 fg. First fg for IND was in the 8 min mark of 4th. yet por wins only by 4

I also like Indy, but this is looking like a no touch for me unless I see something closer to game time. Aldridge and Lillard have proven to matchup well against Indy. Plus it's an ESPN fri night game. I feel like this could come down to the wire and giving 6 is holding me back. Portland should be pretty pumped up- especially Aldridge coming off a poor performance

The last time I faded Indy in a Friday night home ESPN game they won by like 25 against Houston so I sure as hell won't be fading again especially against an overachieving team. Not sure I will take them though.

I like the under 197 here. Portland doesn't have the bench to push it to counter Pacer's great D. I foresee a total of around 190.

-Indiana defends the 3 well, they allow roughly 6.3 made 3's and Portland generally attempts 24 a game. Portland's defense actually allows a higher percentage as far as 3's goes in relation to Indy's offense - Indiana generally shoots around 35% and Portland's defense is giving up close to 37%. At home Indiana is only allowing opponents to shoot 30% from beyond the arc.

-Furthermore Indiana owns the offensive rebounding difference, they are tremendous defensive rebounding team especially at home seriously that could be the difference in the game, allowing Indy to have longer and more successful possessions.

-I'd really like to see what Portland's game plan is here because they certainly know Indy's defense - if it goes like it has here in past match ups Indy should cover the 6 points. Good luck.
