Has the nuggets gone back to their fast pace uptempo game last season?

They are averaging 115.7ppg in their last 7 games, much higher than the 100.6 they averaged in their first 32 games this season. I watched the game they played against the Warriors, they were running up and down like last season's nuggets. Can someone who has been following this team tell me what happened? Is it just a temporary thing or has the team really changed their style? And what's up with Javale Mcgee? He has been out forever, when is he going to come back?
