John Montagu aka the the Earl of sandwich... we're talking 1762 by the way.. this guy while playing at a gaming table in his home for 24 straight hours refused to attend meals so he asked for a salted beef, he then asked for his sandwich was encased by 2 slices of bread so he could eat it at the table.. this my friends is how the sandwich got its name. He then told me about Benny Benion that guy was a bootlegger and con man however gave it all up at age 43 and moved to Vegas and opened his own casino, then in the 70's he bought and marketed the Wolrd series of Poker.. I loved hearing these stories even though it happened so long ago. His night was a crazy one... I can't it on the air but when I finish my book.. I promise it will be in there.
