Around this time every year certain under-performing teams realize that they will not reach the goals they set early in the year. Some of those teams simply aren't as good as they thought and they continue to slide. Others are headed by a "superstar" and make one last push.

Gentlemen, Miami-Fla has a superstar indeed in Jack McClinton. The Canes got NO help from the schedule maker - after a 0-3 slide to Vtech, NC State and MD - they got to play #7 Wake, #4 Duke and #3 UNC. They went 1-6 on that stretch. Miami bounced back for a BIG win vs BC and after 4 days off ... Virginia.

The spread and ML for the Suns/Lakers isn't matching up. At +475, I think it's a good shot that Phoenix wins outright. Of course, that depends if Nash and J-Rich are good to go. But I do remember the last time these two teams met, Phoenix was short handed and they did give the Lakers a run for their money. It was the day Phoenix sent Bell and Diaw to Charlotte. Shaq did not play in that game either because it was a back to back. Phoenix started Matt Barnes and Robin Lopez. Phoenix did have Stoudemire but the Lakers also had Bynum. Considering how many times these teams have met in the last couple years, I don't think the Lakers blow the Suns out unless Nash and Richardson both miss.

Biggest lead in the Cavaliers/Rockets game UNDER 13.5. I think it's a good prop bet considering the slim pickings we have in the NBA today. If this is going to be a defensive struggle, then I don't see any team getting anything beyond a double digit lead tonight in Houston.

Looking at the Cavaliers -1 for the 1Q. If they don't win, I will martingale until they do win a quarter. I doubt they lose 4 quarters to the Rockets. The return of West tonight should help on both sides of the ball. Battier and Artest can bother Lebron all night and contain him but I doubt they stop him completely. Big Z vs Yao will be an interesting matchup. I believe that Z's size will at least bother Yao when he shoots his patented fadeaway.

Dex, I'm with you on the Lakers -9.5 (hooked) and under 237. The total took a three and a half point plunge to 233.5, which makes me even more confident about the under. I'd still play the under at 233.5 because I think the total was just set way too high. The Lakers are not going to let Phoenix have their high-scoring ways, especially not in front of the hometown LA fans.

well gang, i finished my 2nd round tourney and stayed pretty consistant at 17-9. first round finished at 18-10. on to round 3 now.

i am a moron but I actually bet a 3 team parlay in spring babseball and all 3 are winning,its the 6th inning in all 3,i rolled 3 hundo to get back 1600 and some change,think it was 1663 to be exact
