Christmas day pretty much sums up the NBA
We had 5 games matching up supposedly the league's "premier" teams. The result was the following:

    • Three blowouts.
    • One average game.
    • One good game.

That's pretty much on par for this league. Watch about 10 games, maybe two of them will be good.

The worst thing is that a lot of these games are over in the second quarter or complete routes.

    I also love watching......

    • Josh Smith shoot fade away threes all game
    • Rudy Gay force shots and going 3 of 15
    • JR. Smith shoot his teams out of the game
    • Players flopping
    • etc.

There are literally four good teams:

    1.) Heat
    2.) Pacers
    3.) Thunder
    4.) Spurs

Then a few ok teams...Rockets, Clippers, Blazers, Warriors

After that it's crap. Also, the top four teams I mentioned are no where near as good as the Kobe/Shaq Laker teams, Jordan/Pippen Bulls teams, or the Lakers and Celtics of the 80s and early 90s.

    Sad.

And it wasnt the premiere teams on showcase. It waz the teams that draw the most tv viewers.
Biggest population centers (ny, chicago, texas cali)? Check
Biggest indidual stars in the league(lebron, kd, carmelo rose and kobe) check. Not nbas fault 3 of those are hurt.

If it was the best teamsin the league portland, indiana wouldve been playing yesterday but they dont fit in the categories above.

You say this like they scheduled the games on Monday, or something.

I'm sure if they had a flex schedule the Knicks, Nets, and Bulls wouldn't have played yesterday.

Love NBA... how can you hate the one league that gave us games to watch (and action) all day on christmas. And that ending was great.

I think people are missing my point.

The point is the league seems watered down.

League is a joke. These players now a days a dumb as rocks..play zero defense and only care about highlights on sportcenter. Most these players can't even shot..its dribble drive over and over again .

                      Portland is for real.

LA and Portland are both top 10 teams. That's why it was a good game. I think I mentioned them in my first post in this thread.

Well to be fair that xmas day card was kinda ruined by Bulls injuries (most notably Rose), Nets injuries (most notably Lopez), Melo injury, Kobe injury, Nets and Knicks being horrible teams which wasn't expected when they made the schedule... The only 2 games unaffected were the 2 late games.

Season too long, playoffs too long

100 games a year of course the product isn't good every night
