It was a Spurs line if anything. I took Rockets based on matchups and how I feel about these two teams personally.

I still think the Clippers are the better team, but you have to give Portland a lot of credit for playing above their heads consistently for over a third of the season now.

I do really miss holding tickets like the Grizzlies last night. Makes me not want to bet on the NBA ever again. I'm thankful I'm on hiatus every time a game ends like that.

Yea. Usually I take the ML when I take a dog around that number. I did not last night because I knew there was going to be a Rockets fourth quarter rally. Honestly the game went just like I thought - I think anyone who took the 7.5 (including myself) was playing with fire based on how that line was all day long at Pinny. Was always going to be very close. Of course I just wanted some nba action to complement my bowl game plays.

Have you ever tried just playing the ML on dogs and then laying the points with the favorite on certain games at certain numbers? Of course you'd have to come up with your own formula, but I'd be interested to see how many times the spread matters vs. just hitting the ML.
