Welcome all, to my first thread here at SBR.

A little about me, this is my first year actually using a sportsbook to place my bets. The past few years my friends and I began betting on games together. But after two years of winning, my friends refused to take my bets and I felt bad taking their money. I am a Pre-Med student, but have been an athlete all of my life. I also play football here at school. Understandably, many of you will not follow me at first because of the information I just stated- and I understand that. Regardless if you tail me, or fade me I want you to beat the books. I have been hitting at what seems unreal the past month or so and that is what has caused me to start this thread. Today was my worst day for nearly three weeks, and I went 8-5 including a loss of a parlay that I did for fun. (I hit 4 of the 6 parlay bets)

I know many of you do not, but I use Bovada and the lines are posted late so if you get a line too late then I do not insist you make a play, especially if a large amount of the public has moved the line in the wrong direction.

Soccer has always been a sport I've adored, however; I have not been able to watch often. I will also post soccer plays in a limited amount (not daily).

What to expect from me:
1) Picks daily. The key to making money is to stay invested.
2) Honesty. If I am losing, I do not want you to lose money due to me. If I go bad- I will be the first to tell you to fade me.
3) Regular monitoring of this thread.
4) I will give an explanation to my picks if I have the time. I am a college student.
5) Any play that I post: I personally money on.
6) I will keep my record updated. I will record every loss, I will record every win, I will record every push.

Several things I wish of you:
1) Positive and negative feedback when necessary- but keep it appropriate.
2) Streaks do happen, win or loss - this is gambling. Understand this.
3) Ask for input on bets I do not play. I normally have decent insight on plays.
4) If you disagree with my play, don't take it. We are all entitled to our own opinion(s).

I also understand that many of you will not follow my bets, at least immediately, but at least follow my thread and let's have a good time.
It is exciting to start this thread, and I'm looking forward to making money with you guys.

11/13/13: Plays as of now..

Lakers +12
I think this play has a lot of value, but I understand a lot of people fear the Lakers cannot hold up against Westbrook without a true point. But 12 points seems like too much especially with the Lakers bench, which is still solid with injuries. Lakers do not often lose by more than 10, the Raptors did win by 12 on a pathetic night however. Play at your own risk.

Cavaliers +3
Cleaveland is given three points because they have not played well on the road so far this year. They're coming off of two big wins at home, and I expect them to cover early, and carry it into the late quarters.

Knicks +4
Blow out last time by the Celtics, things should be different this time. Not my favorite play because I hate the way Melo plays on the road, but the Knicks are better than their record and it is early in the season.

Colorado -14.5
This is one play I expect the public to be all over. These mid spreads have been getting murdered by a rise in college scoring. Colorado has a good team, but does not score a lot. Tonight at home their defense should step up against a poor 5-4 Elon team.

Iowa +4
These are my hawkeyes, and I will be bias when I make this pick. Iowa should not have lost to Villanova and that OT loss has helped their lines all year. That win would have left them in the top 13It might be a tight cover throughout the game, but I expect Iowa to win straight up. They have a solid bench, and run the floor well. Be ready for another play on the point O/U if the line is posted early enough. Iowa scores a lot, and Iowa State will look to run in transition as well. Iowa is going to test them on the boards. This is gonna be a good one, I'll enjoy the Hawks beating the clones.

Rockets +3.5
Iguodala is out for the Warriors, and I feel they're a strong fade when he cannot play defense for them. I actually can't believe this line, and although the Rockets did drop last night. I think they win tonight.

Suns/Kings Over 209
Has gone over in last 5 for the suns, and 5/6 for the Kings. I like the way the teams play to win, unlike the Heat in the regular season, and I think they will put points on the board by running early. These teams do not run iso-ball, they drive and kick which leads to a lot of fast breaks, long rebounds for second chance, and leaves time on the shot clock.

Arkansas Little Rock +22
Memphis has not sold me yet, I don't think they will cover this spread at home. Little Rock is not a great team but they have only played one game since Nov. 29th, and I expect them to come out fresh. In no means do I expect them to win this straight up, but 22 points will allow Memphis to make runs without damage.

Only Soccer Play: 1H Over 1- Hertha BSC & Werder Bremen.
This should push easily, with the great opportunity to double our money. I expect it to be an exciting game.

Like most of the picks. Houston should win tonight and I don't think Lakers will be embarassed on national TV.
Staying away from Cavs and Knicks though I do see what you see in those plays. I'm just not sure Cavs will breakthrough their road woes and Knicks feel like a coin flip these days.

Yes it was a great game, I didn't expect Iowa to only put up 37 points in the second half. The favored team stormed the floor too, quite pathetic. Second time this year Cyclones have stormed the floor after winning a game of which they are favored in.

My Lakers disappointed, probably a fade from now on unless Vegas has a generous line. Bulls played well I thought, and it was great game. Chicago could have covered. Thanks, glad to help. I will post write-ups when possible, and if I do not- I still do have a lean on the play if I post it. I will never take a play just to do so- other than when the Hawks play LSU down in Tampa for the Bowl game-I will be there and I hope we dominate. Most people say don't play Big Ten football, well I normally don't but B10 vs. SEC shouldn't have as tight of a line.

This is correct! Thanks for the response, and I'm sorry if it was confusing. I'll put it all there next time. I wouldn't follow me religiously just yet- but thank you for the support. I think we easily could have gone 16-5 yesterday but I will take a winning day, any day!
