    POR is the new SA
consistent play, precise execution, don't beat themselves, can play both halfcourt and fast break styles, and ruthlessly pound inferior opponents into the dust

division/conference/nba finals futures are still good deals right now lol

they have no bench as opposed to the spurs. they won't last all year.

their ceiling is 1 playoff series win. think warriors from last year.

1 major injury and they don't even make the playoffs.

Yeah, all of a sudden a team with the same core is going to go from not making the playoffs to being one of the best teams in the West.

Their ceiling is about a 4 seed and I'd expect them more around the 6-7 seed.

Anyway I don't think I need to justify myself to someone who had the Knicks winning the championship this year.

And their bench is absolutely fine. Mo Williams. Thomas Robinson. Those two alone are enough bench to support the starting five. Rest are filler. You don't even need a bench with this team, Lillard Aldrige run the court all by themselves.

                Mo Williams and Thomas Robinson

Wow I guess I can't help you. You're just going to have to watch this team melt down before your eyes to believe me I guess.

i like that rookie mccollum who still hasnt played this season due to injury, they might also pick up some veteran ring chasers near the deadline, true an injury would derail them but same goes for everyone else

HOU i see as the other team in the west finals currently (SA maybe too but they are another year older, OKC doesn't have a 3rd scoring option, MEM doesn't have ANY scoring options, GSW and LAC are too jumpshot dependent)

for an example of the anti blazers, see SAC (isaiah thomas never gets off the bench in crunch time, SURPRISE gets outscored 13-3 to end the game )

OKC, LAC and SA would beat this team in a playoff series easily. Easily.

GS and HOU are also better I think. I would have them as the 6th best team in the West. Now they could still get a 4-5 seed, the rankings don't necessarily show which teams are better than others (see Denver last year, who I called out as frauds all year long).

An injury would hurt another team but would DESTROY this team, because they are so reliant on their starters. Remember this team started out the year pretty good last year (obviously not as good as this) but all the heavy lifting for their starters left them at a miserable 33-49 to end the year. Now with the experience of that they'll probably handle it better this year but I still don't think they'll win more than say 52 games.

I think you're underestimating the power of a combo like Aldridge and Lillard. They're really penetrating good. When you have a tandem like that, the supporting cast needs only to be average to look outstanding because there are so many open spaces created. Yea no shit an injury to either Lillard or Aldridge would kill the team but that is the less likely of two possibilities. Bottom line this team can put up a lot of points and plays defense. They are unselfish, and they play efficiently. They have a shot against anyone in the playoffs, and can hang around with any team any day.

                        can bang 3s all day
no shot in playoffs, not enough defense imo

I guess we'll just have to wait and see who's right.
