3 picks tonight fellas:

spurs -1 @ detroit simply put, the pistons STINK. OKay Anyone disagree? haha thats what I thought.

san/det UNDER 180 I see this being a very low scoring game similar to the one on superbowl sunday between the CAVS and the PISTONS.

boston -2 they are excellent vs the Western Conference, especially a weak UTAH team. Mismatches all over the court for Boston. Home court advantage is about 4 points, so Im definitely taking boston i this one. Utah cant beat the elite teams in the NBA.

I thought the Pistons would be playing with a sense of urgency right out of the break but no, they havent...they packed it in because they stink- they got embarrassed the other night. They'll fall below .500 at some point i think.

i just read it buddy- loved your reasoning as well! One thing is for sure and that is that DETROIT cannot be trusted, especially with our $$$. Another thing is sure, that I would trust the SPURS with my money, as atleast i know what i am getting when i bet on them. THEY are consistent. The Pistons REEK of inconsistencies and poor attitudes. Hope we cash in.

Weighing in on BOS @ UTAH:

First off, I agree with you concerning the Pistons - horrible - as compared to their form for the past decade. BUT, they are still above .500, and thats nothing to sneeze at. I wouldn't take Spurs on the road w/out Manu. Patience is KEY, there is always a better play coming. don't push the action.

on to the game analysis.

My first rule = don't EVER bet against the Celtics.

Next - NEVER BET AGAINST THE JAZZ IN THEIR BUILDING!!!!

this year alone they've already beaten the likes of DENVER, POTLAND (twice), PHOENIX, DALLAS (twice), PHILLY, NEWORLEANS, DETROIT & THE LAKERS!!! that is 10 quality wins against playoff bound teams. I'm not saying everyone has to abide by this rule of mine, and i'm not siding with the Jazz tonight, just putting out the info. for ya. this game is an absolute NO PLAY 4 me.

nice point moneygrip. I like your take on the UTAH game for sure. Though i have watched them a few times and am just thoroughly unimpressed with them. Keep in mind that BOSTON is staring for a statement game... and a win in UTAH will do the trick. These men will come to play today.

Let's Terminate tland22. I didn't play the Spurs vs. Detroit game. I thought Detroit would win. I thought they would come out with a sense of urgency to grab a win against a team that don't like. But Detroit is inconsistent. After losing to the bucks at home that should have ringed a bell. I keep forgetting this isn't the old detroit. This is stuckey's detroit l0l. The spurs upset Boston in Boston that should have ringed a bell even though they lost to the Knicks in the Garden but the Knicks can be dangerous in the Garden.

I'm pretty sure Boston is going to win but the Utah are at home and they beat the lakers by like 5 this month. Utah have won 5 straight at home, I believe they have the best record at home. The Celtics are just coming back from the break so their fg percent could be off. I'm Just sayin...It's like a 49/51...
Another note is Celtics lead the series against Utah 2-1 (speaking of this and last season, the big 3)
Another note is Kirenkilo is out that might come into play. If the Celtics can stop Deron Williams and Millsap it's a wrap, they have the game won. This could go either way...I mean the Jazz can blow out the Celtics...or the Celtics could win by a couple. I leaning towards passing on this 1 as well. I'm just not to confident in either teams. This is a risk play, and I can't risk my $$$.

I see TERMINATOR- my reasoning further is LARGELY in part that this is the mind-set of the BOSTON CELTICS: after the allstar break it is a new season. lets finish strong because we MUST get home court in playoff in order to win another championship. This would be a huuuuge statement game winning in UTAH right out of the gate. They have been prepping. D Will doesnt really worry me, Rano has potential to play with him for sure. Millsap hasnt been doing as well as of late, and that is for sure too. Yes, you might be right as far as the celtics FG % down a bit since they are probably cold right now. But this team is fresh and ready to play some D. Again, statement game for the Celts....they know it and they want it. Im just not feeling that buzz about the Jazz this year, even when they are playing at home - which they are excellent at. BOS road record just as impressive as Jazz home record, so no worries for me. AGAIN, love your input TERMINATOR... i do agree this is the more risky of all the 3 plays I have selected. Perhaps I have too much faith in the CELTICS mindset! I bet it already, so i hope it works out!
