    Duke's NBA Picks
Hey, my name is Duke. I love to gamble on sports, it's one of my favorite hobbies and I'm hoping I can help other people on this board win some money, so let's get right to it.

    Two easy picks tonight IMO

San Antonio Spurs (+1) @ Detroit Pistons (-1)

Be cautious, though, Manu Ginobli is out and Roger Mason Jr. is listed as day to day. Rasheed Wallace is also listed as day to day so we'll see how much of an effect his injury has on him.

Detroit is just 14-14 at home, I'm still doubting the Iverson trade...

    Boston Celtics (-2) @ Utah Jazz (+2)

Although Utah is 22-6 at home, the Celtics have won nine in a row on the road. Also, Boston was one of the four teams that beat the Jazz in Utah last season, back when Utah had Boozer and was a much better team.

    Good luck.

Thank you duke finally someone who agrees with me. I hope your picks are better than your team Duke if that's your team because their playing like CRAP l0l. But I totally agree.

Expect Detroit to BLOWOUT the spurs and boston to win over Jazz by at least 4=5. Which they already beat them ealry in the season in December by 8. Also note Kirenkelo is out.

detroit never fails their fans when expectations are on a high.

they want to make a record in futility at home.

                  NBA Picks: 1-1

                  Boston (+2) @ Phoenix (-2)

The Suns have been on absolute roll lately scoring 140 or more points in the last three games. Yeah, they were against the Clippers and Thunder, but 140 points is still tough either way. This time, they have to do it against the defensivly strong Boston Celtics, who give up just 92 points per game. The Celtics may be strong on defense, but they are missing Kevin Garnett who is one of the NBA's best defensive players. Phoenix is missing Amare Stoudemire, who is one of the best offensive players in the NBA but they seemed to do just fine without him against Oklahoma City.

                  Charlotte (+6.5) @ Houston (-6.5)

The Rockets are 21-6 in Houston (most of those without McGrady so the injury isn't playing a part in it), while the Bobcats are just 6-18 on the road. Houston has won three straight including a quality win over Dallas, the Bobcats are coming off a double digit home loss to the Magic.

                  Los Angeles Lakers (-9.5) @ Minnesota (+9.5)

The T-Wolves are just 8-18 on their home court and have dropped eight of their last ten overall. Al Jefferson, the Wolves top scorer and top rebounder, is out with an injury and rookie Kevin Love will be taking his place against the seasoned veteran, Pau Gasol. The last time the Lakers were in Minnesota, they scored 132 points, including 27 from Andrew Bynum, and 21 from Pau Gasol. Bynum also ripped 15 rebounds while Gasol followed him with 9. It's obvious that the Wolves bigs just can't stick with the Lakers bigs, expect a blowout.

Los Angeles Lakers @ Minnesota (over 218)

The Lakers are on an offensive tear scoring triple digits in four of their last five games. The one time that they failed to score over 100, they had 96. Also, as mentioned before, the last time the Lakers played in Minnesota, they put up 132 including 48 from the starting big men. The Wolves haven't been so bad either when it comes to scoring points. Like the Lakers, they have scored triple digits in four of their last five as well - and the one time they didnt? 97.

                  Detroit (+9) @ Cleveland (-9)

The Pistons have lost five in a row and going to Cleveland isn't going to cheer them up. The Cavs are 24-1 on their home floor and have won three straight.
