This is year 3 ... the test phase of my program... I waited until Nov 11 to start posting real picks. May have been a little early actually. Probably should have started a week later or so... but that is why I am testing. System is 7-6 right now. On overtime games, I calculate the score based on regulation time to see if the system accurately picked in regulation time. Anyway, I was asked to produce a main thread. I will also produce one for NFL. NFL as I am sure several of you know... has done exceptionally well. College Football has not. College Basketball last year was awesome... Anyone who has been following Dave's picks has done well, I'm at 21-15 across NBA/NCAAF/NFL with his system totals over the past few weeks since I started tailing.

Remember, despite what you hear on this board from so-called winners, hitting 60-65% is a miracle in terms of consistent performance for any handicapper, and money management is obviously key for the long haul. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

thats great, still not clear if its play over or under i assume capital U means under but there is column between total labeled Vegas and final Bet thats says o is that o for over or 0 for zero?

Sorry the small 0 is a zero...

be more careful on the NBA... I only have a season and a half of data because of the lock out. I am not planning on betting NBA until February or March or not at all. I am obviously interested in how it does. College Basketball is a great place to be but almost no website offers totals. Dave

Looks like 0-2 tonight... no worries... I actually started the system Nov 18th or later the last couple of years. I am not sure it is ready by any means yet, but I will continue to post at least until Dec 1st if not later. I will let you know when/if I believe the system is ready. You can track the picks yourself and pick and choose. Dave

I actually learned a lot from the second game that I have all ready added to the system. And that what it takes... it is a process, a process, a process. The first game I think I would have gotten wrong regardless. Enjoy Dave

I actually think that last nights OK City game is ...

a little bit of an anomaly that my system has a hard time taking into account. Each team is adding over 80 attempts off and defensively. In addition, they both average over 100 points per game. Because my model are based on reasonably normalized stats... I sometimes struggle with the outliers and the second game last night was definitely and outlier. I have also struggled with Peyton, Oregon and Baylor. I think I fixed Peyton and have predicted every game right since then... but I still struggle with Ore and Baylor... even though I predicted the OK/Bay game perfectly and vegas was way off. Anyway, I made the corrections. I also believe the Carolina/SF game was an anomaly...based on their offenses and their defenses... Dave P.S. I am Mack... ty for the interest...

Good night last night 3-1... Yes my NFL picks are in the NFL forum and that program has done very well. My college football continues to struggle... I spent all morning on it again... and it still seems weak. Anyway... be careful of college football and NBA should start to show signs...Give it another week or so... to normalize the statistics.
