Late game last night

I was watching the LAC/GS game while working out last night -- no bet on the game, but saw a lot of posters had action so I was interested -- and this morning, I checked to see how much books adjusted the 2H line total-wise given the 1H pace. I see the total was set around 102 or 103. WTF? Were oddsmakers not watching this game? The chances of these two teams -- who obviously had no interest in playing D -- only scoring 102 or 103 points combined in the 2H were zero.

It's bad enough to only open at 203 or whatever for the full game. It closed at 205.5 to 207. But to not admit defeat at halftime and offer up at least a 112-115 for the 2H after 123 in the first was just plain stupidity. Hope some of you hammered that 2H over. That was the freest money you'll ever see.

only combined for 50 points in the third so the live bet right before the 4q came in at 224 and I pounded it.

if they base it off what happened in the first half, they would leave way too much room to get middled. the handle on the 2nd half of an early season nba game is minimal anyways.

The over 206 was the easiest bet I've seen in months. I threw more at it half time to get over 227 and won both.

On the downside I had a separate parlay with LAC/GSW over and the Thursday night NFL and the Bengals screwed me. I was a Bengals FG away from hitting a nice one. Oh well, back at it.

I'm going to start watching these NBA o/u a bit. I think there's some money to be made here. It strikes me as crazy also that the lines don't change that much at half but I can somewhat understand why the books don't want to leave themselves open.

Apparently they like getting not only buried on game overs, but 2H overs as well.
