Value In The Rookie vs. Sophomore Challenge 9:05 TNT
I stay away from exhibitions like the plague, but this one is different...a clear advantage on the point spread, and a great game to watch if you like offense...it sounds dumb to some, but the cash is just as green when the ticket cashes. This year is a pretty big mismatch, Rookies should be catching about 10...far better shooters on the Sophs, better athletes almost all around...

the only thing I shy away from is the total, especially people who get sucked into the OVER because they don't realize the difference in the rules...it is played in (2) 20 minute halves, as they do in college...so 251.5 is actually not easy to attain...I do see an easy Sophomore win, if not an embarrasing one where they actually slow the pace towards the end as to save the Rookies some face.

    15* Sophomores (-5)

Durant best shooter and player on the floor, along with Chandler who is shooting great for the Knicks, Aaron Brooks and Rodney Stuckey both shooting 35 percent from the arc. Scola and Horford are solid inside and you have Al thorton and Thadeus young at the 3/4 spot. Both very capable of hitting threes as well.

Best scorer for the rooks is Rose followed by eric gorgon and mike beasly. Gordon and Fernandez are the only real threats from behind the arc.

8 of the 9 players on the sophs are starters and playing starter minutes while 6 of the 9 players on the rooks are starters.

i like the sophs as well. called my brother to ask him and he explodes on me. telling me rookies have a great team this year and some mumbo jumbo about how durant doesnt even want to play b/c he was snubbed from all-star team. this just made my gut feeling stronger. parlay Sophs -5 and the under... and just in case big brother is right i'm taking a small play on rooks ML.

You forgot about guys named Mayo, Westbrook and Lopez all having great yearsfor the Rooks...I like the Rooks plus 5.5...starting backcourts are a joke to compare...Mayo/Rose vs. Stuckey/ Brooks lol

I did forget about OJ, his game will fit perfectly into a game like this but westbrook cant shoot consisitently and Lopez is a big, bigs dont matter in this game. all about shooters..sophs have more of them.

such a waste that people pass up the chance.

all star game is harder to pick. early leans on east.
