non, those are very sound angles. i think i'm going to stick to my four though, but i have this thing where i like to have an odd number of plays, so i wanted to see what was on your mind when snagging that pistons line so early. i hear ya on the getting money back on teams thing. and the spurs owe me a lot.

also non, i don't know if you noticed, but yesterday, right after you posted your picks for sunday on saturday's thread, i commented that we were both on san antonio, knicks, and phoenix. all three hit. the only thing we were on opposite sides (no/t-wuffs) was a push. so i like seeing that we're on the same side as well.

now that i've been posting, i've felt challenged to really get a jump and make my picks as early as i can. it helps so much. this being my first nba season, i could be doing way worse. none of my friends play basketball because they can't handle the up and down nature of the game as opposed to football. this thread has been such a find for me.

i swear in like, a day or two, i'll quit with the sentimental shit about this thread.

haha. tex, i agree with you though, Ive been doing a lot better with nba picks since joining. you step up to the level of competition. and it's nice to get second opinions on games too.

and jay, the celts hex doesn't work as well when good teams play not-so-good teams. lakers (beat golden state when they were no good) and cavs (beat memphis--whoopty doo) didn't face good opponents after they beat the celtics. neither are the spurs. the nets got hot there for a minute, but with a less than healthy vince carter...whatever, no more explanation, the spurs are the second best team in the west easily. spurs -5, hex or no hex.

the spurs game since all are back healthy and playing as they do when gelling are playing lights out championship ball in my opinion. there's no doubt in my mind if all had stayed healthy, they'd have the best record right now

they're not as flashy as the lakers or celts so they don't get the recognition but man for man they match up with either of them

do the nets play better at home or on the road? who plays better in new jersey? the nets or the spurs? an 8-0 trend is nothing to shake a stick at, and yes, championship ball is pouring out of the spurs right now, as i and non have mentioned.
