Leans for Sunday 2/8/09....Last Day until CK is back.
Okie dokie guys and gals. It has been fun running point the last few weeks. Badly for me, I have been sucking this past week going 9-10-1. That's why they play the game. It's probably better that I will be out of my own tourney. I can focus on my own picks and for the tourney, just post everyone else's.

Now, we have a few big games today starting out w/ Spurs at Boston.

Spurs are coming off loss at Denver, but are still playing some of their best basketball of the season. 8-2 in their last 10 games losing both games on the road. Big factor there. Boston lost their 1st game in 15 a few days back vs. the Lakers. OT game, only by 1 point.

Boston is still Boston and are dominating their opponents again. Spurs only 2 losses in their last 10 games have both been on the road. Now again, on the road again to a strong Boston team, I can see Boston blowing this one out.

2nd big game is Lakers at Cavs. So far, I have seen no one on the NBA thread give a logical reason for the Cavs to win or Lakers to win. The only arguement has been, Cavs are undefeated at home, or they are due for a home loss.

I lean Cavs not b/c they are undefeated at home. That's just a number. Here's a number, Clippers have scored 120+ in their last 2 games, OMG, let's bet on Clippers now daily. LOL

Obviously, these 2 teams are 2 of the best in the NBA. Cavs are #2 in the East, Lakers #1 in the West. Cavs are winners of 4 straight, only loss at Orlando in last 5. Lakers riding a 5 game winning streak, their last loss being an OT loss to Charlotte at home. After that loss, they have beaten 4 weak opponents and Boston. They are well rested after the OT win at Boston, and should be able to come out strong. Cavs are just unreal at home though. They have beaten each opponent by at least 4 points at home. That's a stat right there. You want to know why the line is 4....now at 5. But, each win by the Cavs at home this season has been by at least 4.

The big factor in this game isn't going to be Kobe vs. Lebron like everyone thinks. Unless they don't show up at all and score 15 or less, but most likely both players will be dominate like always and put up their normal numbers. The big factor in big games is always the bench, and in this match up, bench goes to Cleveland. If Wally, and Sasha are healthy and playing today, that's a plus, but also if Boobie can shoot the ball well off the bench, Cavs win this game. I LIKE THE CAVS IN THIS GAME.

    Other games...small write up

Knicks at Portland.....I'll watch and root for my Knicks.
Nets at Orlando (-11.5) Big spread for Orlando. nets coming off HUGE win at home to Denver, now on road to Orlado. Inconsistent Orlando team as of late. Stay away for me.

Charlotte at Miami (-7.5) Miami comes off loss yesterday at 76ers. Now travel home to play weak Bobcats team. IDC about this one. Lean towards Miami.

Indiana (-5.5) over Wizards.. Wizs haven't been playing too bad the last week or so. Indiana can beat the best, then lose to the worst. If you want an upset of the day...Wizards ML. I'll throw small ammount on this.

Minnesota at NO (-4) If Peja can shoot light out again from 3, NO will win again, if not, they are in trouble. Stay away,

Kings at OKCity (-7) I love OKCity as a favorite. It's just awesome whenevr you can find them as a fav. They are soooo solid as a dog, that when they are a favorite, no one knows what to do. They are actually not bad as a favorite either. I may put small play on them. Probably in a teaser.

Suns (-1) at Detroit both teams playing decent to well now, Detroit comes off OT win yesterday and fatique could be factor late in game.

Utah -1 at G. State I like the Jazz here. both teams were beat up last meeting and Jazz won by 5, now semi healthy both teams, Jazz again.

    Plays
    Boston -8
    Cavs -4.5
    Wizards ML.....small
    Utah -1

    3 Team 10 Point Teaser
    Orlando -1.5
    OKCity +3
    Wizards +15.5

I would like to say thanks to all that follow me and support me and help make this thread the best in the NBA,

DO WORK IS MY MOTTO AND WORK IS WHAT I DO.

The week wasn't good, but today starts another one.

Let's have fun and win some money.

good call on miami and utah

to close to call on lak-cavs. both have a star with a pretty good supporting cast, will bring down to execution iat the fourth and who can shoot better. small play on lakers, kobe has outshined all the star that he met this season with the exeption of the first meeting with the spurs.

      leaning on orl
