sorry to hear about your losses bro. i think we have all been down that path. ill help you out. i made a thread on here if you havent seen it yet, and i have made $6,800 in 6 days. i posted all my plays for today in my thread.

Gambling is not for you. I'll be perfectly honest with you: if your mentality is to win it all back with one play, you are being desperate. To succeed at betting, you need to have good money management skills-that is, betting what you can afford to lose. After a losing day, you should never wake up in the morning feeling like crap or it's probably a sign that you're in over your head.

My advice, win it back slowly. Celtics -5.5, or perhaps buy a hook and get it down to -6.5
Remember, key word: slowly, win it back slowly.

exactly...never gamble with money you dont have and you have to be willing to lose money in this game of betting.

500 you should be betting 10-50 dollars max. Count your losses bud you just dont have the stomach for it, unless you wanna lay 10-50 a gm. Get out and be lucky your only down 500

Deposit another 500 if your not on credit already. Play the OVER tonight Lakers @ Boston.

After you win, practice money management (wager 2-5%) of your bankroll 1 or 2 games daily.

Don't bet over your head unless your looking to get into some trouble.

Oh noo, it's nothing like that, i'm fine, just been getting frustrated, more losing and no winning what so ever, i went $250 thinking to double up on the VCU game which was CK's play, but i lost that too and after losing that, my hopes just went down

Well he is begging for help. Of course we know the right thing to do is eat the $500, tuck your tail in, and walk away. But a "gambler" can't do that. So if he is going to bet his way back I'd recommend he press it on the over tonight.

See UB? You've already learned that trying to win back all losses on a single play can hurt ($250 on VCU), so listen to some of the good advice you are getting. Play a low percentage of your bank each day on a couple games you really like....if you show patience and have a knack for picking more winners than losers over time, then you'll eventually win all those units back.

bro take a lesson from me, i have lost a total of $300. i play them games cheap. If i would have managed my my money better i would have over a grand. The more i won the more greedy i got, theni lost it big and tried to chase. But i have learned and now im slowly going back up. trust me go slowly but on the more sure plays you pick u can bet more but never bet too much.

I don't know what size bank you have and I only play favs on the moneyline but Western Kentucky looks pretty good today money line. I can't comment on the spread.

I am definatly not a big gambler, nor will be, i know how to control myself, i am down about 400 now, it's not a huge amount, if i start losing more than earning, then it's time to call it quits and just bet on UFC, other then that, i am reading these reply's and for sure taking the advice on what to do and what not to do..

UB, good job paring down the units on that play. At 25 per you still have plenty of life left....or enough to cash out and chalk any losses under the entertainment budget. You sound like a good sport, so GL either way.
