you might as well give your money to someone w/ bets like yours. No offense, but easiest bet of night is Boston and not only do you go opposite, but for $2,200.

You only have 3500 and you bet it all on one night. No money management

I have to agree with Sam and Blaze ... You may eek out Detroit but a 2K bet (over 50% of your bankroll) against a tough Celts team that has blown out everyone recently? That's a tough one to swallow Miles. (No pun intended with the use of blown and swallow in the same thread) Not trying to be sh*tty, just scratchin' my head with the money management here. There are more favorable plays tonight imo. Good Luck man, I'll be on the Celts with a 5 unit play.

This could be a horrible mistake, I don't want you to be doing this at the end of the night

Were all just thinking of you man, why not take a break tonight and read up on money management, as much as we don't like to hear it there is always the possibility of having nights where all our picks loose. If you use management its just a small loss, you live to fight another day and slowly but surely your bankroll rises. But the way your wagering, you could loose everything in one night.

Message to all newbies: do not confuse this thread with "$3000 experiment" by John Morr

Detroit is a solid pick tonight IMO, but to risk $2200 out of a $5000 bankroll is not good money management.

Miles, can you please clarify, is $5000 your entire bankroll, or just a chunk of money you have set aside for the purposes of this "experiment"? This is important to specify for anyone who may be trying to follow your picks.

if this is not for real money, then this thread is a waste of space if miles is trying to demonstrate some sort of money management strategy.

Just post your picks without any amounts. Either you can pick winners or you can't, just don't pretend to try and turn a fake $5000 into a fake $20000 with bogus numbers. That would be like the guys who play on "fake money" tables in a poker room and think they can learn the game that way.

other than that the detroit pk could of been backed by the fact that some lines are 'too good to be true' which is only the case probably 15 percent of the time

Miles I hope you win I am not on the game. But let me ask you this, when you actually are dealing in real money, do not lose 60% of your $ in 2 weeks like you did here! Ok even if you win , honestly in real life would anyone risk all they had left of the $5000, and lose their priviledge to gamble...or would they tone it down and do smaller bets due to a horrible money management already.
