Who does this for a living ?

well im 18 and have decided to try to earn a living with this on the side while i also have a job. its not reliable enough to be your only income imo. in january alone ive turned $200 into $11,000 in what was primarily a test account on a new book. i will now manage my money and hopefully earn a few bucks a month to support myself.

wow 11 grand... thats my goal in the next couple months.

i bet 60 on mosely and he won me 200
i hit 3 (4) team parlays for about 400 each

been betting on NBA QTrs and halfs

what else pays good?

ncaa pays good. you need to know it. any sport pays good., you just have to be smart with your money and smart with plays. if there is nothing good for a day leave it. if there is something really good lay alot down but not your whole bank roll hah.

my favorite plays are ncaa hoops lines that seem way too good to be true and it scares everyone off but then they cover with flying covers. like utah state the other night against hawaii. i saw some people try and justify picking hawaii when it was obvious that USU was going to hammer those damn scrubs with no mercy. well actually hawaii hammered themselves cause they're so horrible, but still. damn what a sweet, and easy, payday that was. -4.5 in the first half? what a joke

I don't classify myself as a bookie. I am a sports investor so to speak; been doing it for 14 years online and longer with the 'man' if you know what I mean.

I have been thru a few layoffs in my time and have used this industry to supplement my income when working and lean on it when I needed to draw down. Also use this as a retirement funding method and a vacation $$$ source.

Remember,

play only with funds that you can justify losing - no rent or food money;
budget yourself with your money and your timing to ensure your bankroll's safety;
play smart and don't over extend yourself;
play realistically and don't chase any losses;
be prepared to lose many days;
have multiple outs to ensure best line values;
play sports you do well at and learn new ones, but don't play too many at the same time;
Have an account reserve in your home city to offset any payout delays from offshore books.

I started w/ $500 in my account in September for NFL and betting a lot of sports now, I have a little more than $1,900. Up $1,400, but not $11,000 like you. So, maybe you can help me out

i think everyone should post a good 5-7 team parlay card and we all mess with it for a few days.. i want to bet $20 to win $1900. I think thats how you roll the books. Qtr bets and parlays could really bump you up.

If i have $1000. What should i be betting on individual games ? $100 ?

haha nah bro dont do what i did. like i said, i was only testing this book out and only made a small deposit. i didnt really care about this money and i was throwing around huge plays left and right, absolutely zero management of my money and huge risks. i decided i was going to be reckless and see what happened. be safe and just use great money management. i cant tell you how many times I was down to $500 and back up to $5000 in the same day. now that im up this much i will carefully manage my money, probably $220/$200 bets, with an occasional big bet.

EDIT: And not to mention I've had a number of RIDICULOUS parlays hit and gotten totally lucky. I'm talking like down to the last second, your hairs falling out from the stress and a miracle is pulled out of someone's ass type of lucky. I've definitely been one lucky ass mofo to win this much.

It just depends on your money management style. If you want to be up 11K you have to bet more and potentially lose more. I'm with betting 1-2% of your bank roll then progressively increase it per unit. To start with $500 and end up with $11000K in a month means almost betting 50-100% of your bank roll to start out with.

LOL, ok Cheese Head, thx, I'll just stick w/ what I'm doing and maybe increase bets on occasion. I usually don't do parlays and if I do, only 2 teams 3 max. I have not done a 4-7 team parlay, I know that's huge payouts, but not worth it for me.

I have been losing lots of $$ by betting 3-8 teams multis at once...

i have hitted 3 big parlays of 6 to 7 teams each in last 3 weeks. but some were also lucky. i have played about 50 in the last 3 weeks spending about 300bucks to get 1000. and i havent hit one since 10days so u really shouldnt bet multis often.

You should only do parlays for fun, not with the mind-set of winning big because it rarely happens. When I win big in an individual game I may put 20-30 aside for a few mega-parlays, if your gonna do them may aswell do them big, like £5 to win £2500, if it doesn't work who cares it was just a bonus round for fun.
