Actually I think it is tougher to win in a compressed season, with all those back to backs and 1 or 2 back to back to backs. Easier to get injured and throttle back because of all the games played in short amount of time. Regular season is just about playoff positioning, no matter how many games are played.

Last time I checked, the playoffs that season were the normal length. That's all that really matters.

Its difficult for me to admit this...as a Miami fan and a major Lebron supporter.... .but yes I actually agreed with reallytho...that it was in fact Popovich who was trying to throw it for Miami...however, the Spurs team was not in on it...and damn near won it....and of course you cannot fix what Ray Allen did...No major free throw disparity....so the Heat definitely earned it.....I could be wrong....and would love to be because of course I am biased when it comes to the Heat....but I do believe Popovich was complicit....Miami is indeed part of the "script" right now....at least for the time being....but oh how I do love my Soaps...lol
