Although I am not wageringon it, anyone who wants to tae Boston in the 2nd half has my blessing.New Jersey is in the game only because the Cetics had 9 personal fouls in the 2nd quarter, 4 of them on Glen Davis. if Boston stays out of foul trouble this lead could very easily be 16 or so. New Jersey shot 20 free throws in the 1st half making 14 of them. It's the only reason that they aren't getting blown out. Boston has only let them mae 13 of 33 field goal attempts for a paltry 39% from the field. Meanwhile Boston is geting any inside shot that they want, and is shooting 54% from the field. Boston has 9 turnovers as well in the first half to New Jersey's 5. So the math is simple, cut down on stupid fouls and tae better care of the ball, and the Celtics will blow them away. I am sure that Doc will make the adjustment at the half reminding them that they have been allowing lesser teams to mount comebacks against them lately...

Help with statistical handicapping

@ DEX/CK/whoever may be of any help....

I know a lot of cappers use the standard +/- 3 points for home court advantage in statistical handicapping. However, I am using overall road record of visiting team vs. overall home record of host team. Is this sufficient? Or should I also be giving the home team an extra 3 points? Thanks in advance.

Personally liking Warriors and Hawks in the late games for anyone who is interested.

-Kings on back end of back to back after getting their asses kicked last night by the red-hot Orlando Magic. Warriors are well rested (haven't played since a home win Sunday night vs. the Pacers). Warriors lengthen the Kings skid and lower their self-esteem, haha.

-Hawks are in dire need of a win, even if it must come away from Phillips Arena. What better team to pick it up against than the team in the bottom of the barrel as far as the Power Rankings are concerned. PR have Hawks winning by 10, and I think they win by at least 20 personally. Clippers are in complete disarray. Even with the Hawks being without their only inside "presence", in Al Horford, [Zaza is trash], I see the Hawks opening up a huge can of dirty south whoop-ass on the "other" LA team.

EDIT: PS. Cavs open as "only" 8.5 point road favorites over the Bulls coming off of back to back. In addition this will be the Bulls' 3rd game in 4 days....losing by 14 @ home to the Blazers on Monday night, and playing a tight game with the Raptors in Toronto as I type this, only to travel back to Chicago and welcome the "man-child" himself into their house tomorrow night. Cavs should absolutely dismantle this Bulls squad, with a days rest and Lebron in rare form even for his exceptionally high standards (coming off his 19th triple-double of his very young career).

ok, so i just lost on George mason. all is good though, i won big on hoops last night - but won even bigger on late night tennis (yup, im a gambling degenerate), so half of my tennios money from last night is gone on early games (500). but I am going to make it back on celts, San Antonio (CK), and Wake clobbering BC. i just added wake 1st half -2, FINGERS CROSSED. I did go heavy on spurs, so lets hope CK can be like Tangia from poltergeist and show me the light! If my wake 1st half shoud cover, I'm looking at the over for the GS game - Which looks "Very Nice". I'm gonna tap the rockies, call the commish a pansy, and hope the twins come and hang out.

Wow I just noticed that ESPN and Yahoo are completely different on the George Mason game. I actually thought Mason lost but they won by 4. If you played them before tipoff you are a winner but if you played them early like me its a big fat loser.
