I read Donagahy's book. Him and Foster were best friends. According to Donagahy, they would talk daily over the phone, but Foster never knew about his gambling problem.

Foster is a POS ref. All I can remember about him was an awful goaltend call last year in a OKC/POR game which basically began the tailspin of Portland's season.
